Our Story begins in the valley of the Rio Grande River also known as El Valle; surrounded by palm trees, the ocean, and Mexico. Growing up Spanish was meshed in with English to form Spanglish so to speak and I could not tell the difference! We spoke how we felt, sang, ate, and danced very well. My trips to Mexico as a child were filled with adventure and involved eating the most delicious food that you cannot find anywhere else and I mean it. Don’t get me started on the shopping, if your parent gave you $20 in Mexico you were rich! You could buy anything from the stands in the streets that interested a young child that is!
The colors, smells, and flavors of where I come from and the places I visit are engrained in me forever. When I make a dish it takes me home even if I’m more than 1000 miles away! I want to take you home when you cook one of my recipes. I believe those memories that lie within our tastebuds come alive with each bite!
And speaking of Memories, the kind we make with our furry, scaly, or maybe even cold blooded best friend. I had a reptile growing up, his name was Slither and he was a ball python from a pet shop and he had the sweetest personality, I tell you! Today however I have three furry pals named Max short for Maximiliano, Benny short for Benito aka Bad Benny, and Antonio Banderas Pootie Tang; they are my boys.
Max, Benny, and Pootie are what inspired PET PIX ART! I love these guys so much as if they were my own children, I know because I have real children; we all love them and couldn’t picture our lives without them! I understand how important our pets are to us and will be sure to capture your pets essence in a beautiful custom painting!
